Defender IT Consulting supports the principles of an open and free internet. This Open Internet Policy outlines our commitment to transparency, net neutrality, and fair internet practices in our operations and services.

1. Our Commitment to Net Neutrality

Defender IT Consulting believes that all lawful internet traffic should be treated equally. We support net neutrality principles and do not engage in practices that unfairly discriminate against, block, or throttle access to lawful content, applications, or services.

2. Transparency

We are committed to transparency in our business practices. This includes: Clear Communication about our services, pricing, and terms. Transparent Data Practices as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Clear disclosure of any Service Limitations or restrictions.

3. No Blocking

Defender IT Consulting does not block access to lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices. Our cybersecurity services are designed to protect against threats while preserving legitimate access to internet resources.

4. No Throttling

We do not impair or degrade lawful internet traffic based on content, application, service, user, or use of non-harmful device. Our services are designed to enhance security without artificially limiting performance.

5. No Paid Prioritization

Defender IT Consulting does not engage in paid prioritization arrangements that favor certain internet traffic over other lawful traffic in exchange for payment or other consideration. All clients receive equal treatment with respect to our services.

6. Reasonable Network Management

While we support open internet principles, we reserve the right to engage in reasonable network management practices to: Ensure network security and integrity, Address traffic congestion in a content-neutral manner, Comply with applicable laws and court orders, and Block or mitigate malicious traffic as part of our cybersecurity services. These practices are applied in a content-neutral, non-discriminatory manner.

7. Security Services Exception

As a cybersecurity consulting firm, our services may include blocking or filtering malicious content, threats, and unauthorized access attempts. These security measures are implemented at the request of and in agreement with our clients to protect their networks and are not considered violations of open internet principles.

8. Advocacy

Defender IT Consulting supports policies and regulations that preserve an open internet. We believe that a free and open internet fosters innovation, economic growth, and the free exchange of ideas.
